Costume
designer Jenny D'Onofrio has been researching and designing historic
fashions from the 19th century for 15 years.
She displays her
clothing and accessories at historic Jerusalem Mill Village in Kingsville,
Maryland to share and demonstrate true 19th century fashion. She
is a member of the Atlantic Guard Soldiers Aid Society and participates
at Harper Ferry National Historical Park and New Market State Historical
Park.
A proficient seamstress who is knowledgeable
in historic clothing construction and fashion details and capable of
capturing the mid 19th century appearance.
She created 1840's period clothing for the
Freedom House Museum in Alexandria, Virginia.
She has studied and learned by many memorable teachers,
friends and business owners in the art of fashion and clothing construction.
